Honoring Our Veterans

The B&Bs for Vets program is the largest lodging-based program in the country to thank veterans. It was started by Kathleen Panek, a West Virginia Innkeeper. Participating Inns and Bed & Breakfasts throughout North America have honored our country’s active and retired military and veterans for Veterans Day through this program by offering a free night as a thank you for their service.

As a US Air Force Veteran of 1974-1979, Ron and his wife Eleanor welcomes this opportunity to recognize our veteran friends and their family and to celebrate their contributions and sacrifices for our nation and our American way of life.

Our Devereaux Shields House in Natchez was the first Bed & Breakfast in Mississippi to join the B&Bs for Vets Program at its inception in 2008 and are proud to continue hosting our veterans every year since. We started with offering one room and progressed to offering all our six rooms. Veterans and one guest are welcome to enjoy a complimentary overnight stay (subject to availability) on Thursday November 9, or Sunday November 12, 2017 followed by a wonderful breakfast the next day. Natchez has events designed to further thank veterans for their service on Veteran’s Day. If you cannot make those dates, we are also offering our Veterans 10% off their stays for the month of November.

Call Ron & Eleanor Fry direct at 601-304-5378 to book your stay. While they last we are offering all our available rooms as part of the 2017 B&Bs for Vets program for our veterans until we are full.
